Jabalpur: The West Central Railway has announced the upgradation of the Bhopal–Jodhpur–Bhopal Express to modern LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches, aiming to enhance passenger comfort and safety from today. The decision is part of the railway’s ongoing initiative to replace conventional ICF coaches with advanced LHB rakes across its network.
According to the railway administration, Train No. 14813 (Jodhpur–Bhopal Express) will operate with LHB coaches from April 14, 2026, starting from Jodhpur. Similarly, Train No. 14814 (Bhopal–Jodhpur Express) will be upgraded from April 15, 2026, commencing from Bhopal.
The revised LHB rake composition will include a total of 19 coaches — one AC Second Class, three AC Third Class, two AC Third Economy, seven sleeper coaches, four general class coaches, one SLRD (Seating-cum-Luggage Rake with Divyangjan facility), and one generator car.
Railway officials stated that LHB coaches are built using advanced technology, offering improved safety, higher speed potential, and enhanced ride comfort.
