WCR Announces Jabalpur – Howrah Special Train Services from April 14

Jabalpur: The West Central Railway has announced the operation of a special train service between Jabalpur and Howrah with three trips in each direction to manage passenger demand.
Train No. 01701 (Jabalpur–Howrah Special) will run every Tuesday from April 14 to April 28, 2026. The train will depart from Jabalpur at 7:20 PM and pass through key stations including Katni South, Khanna Banjari, Beohari, Singrauli, Chopan, Renukoot, Garhwa Road Junction, Daltonganj, Latehar, Barkakana Junction, Dhanbad Junction, Asansol Junction, Durgapur, Barddhaman Junction, and Bandel Junction before reaching Howrah Junction at 10:15 PM on Wednesday.
In the return direction, Train No. 01702 (Howrah–Jabalpur Special) will operate every Thursday from April 16 to April 30, 2026. The train will depart from Howrah Junction at 12:15 AM and halt at major stations such as Bandel Junction, Barddhaman Junction, Durgapur, Asansol Junction, Dhanbad Junction, Bokaro Thermal, Barkakana Junction, Latehar, Daltonganj, Garhwa Road Junction, Renukoot, Chopan, Obra Dam, Singrauli, and Beohari before arriving in Jabalpur at 4:00 AM on Friday.
Railway officials stated that the special service has been introduced to facilitate passenger convenience and manage increased travel demand on this busy route connecting Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and West Bengal. DeshBharat
