Railways Regularises Dhanbad–Lokmanya Tilak Express, Weekly Service Approved

New Delhi: The Railway Board has approved the regularisation of several special train services, including the Dhanbad–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Special, following the timetable meeting held at Bhopal from January 7 to January 9, 2026. The decision was communicated to the concerned railway zones including East Central Railway (Hajipur), West Central Railway (Jabalpur), Eastern Railway (Kolkata) and Central Railway (Mumbai).

As per the order issued on March 20, 2026, Train No. 03379/03380 Dhanbad–Lokmanya Tilak (T) Special has been regularised as Train No. 13379/13380 Dhanbad–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express. The service will run on a weekly frequency.

According to the approved schedule, Train No. 13379 Dhanbad–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express will depart from Dhanbad every Monday at 23:00 hrs and arrive at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus on Wednesday at 13:40 hrs. In the return direction, Train No. 13380 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus–Dhanbad Express will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus every Wednesday at 16:55 hrs and reach Dhanbad on Friday at 08:00 hrs.

The train will halt at several important stations en route, including Katrasgarh, Chandrapura, Bokaro Thermal, Patratu, Khalari, Latehar, Daltonganj, Garhwa Road, Renukut, Obra Dam, Singrauli, Bargawan, Beohari, Katni South, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Pipariya, Itarsi, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Chalisgaon, Manmad, Nasik Road and Kalyan.

Railway officials said the regularisation of the train will improve long-distance connectivity between Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, and will benefit passengers travelling for work, education and pilgrimage.

The train will be primarily maintained at Dhanbad, while watering and technical checks will be carried out at Jabalpur, Itarsi and Bhusaval. The rake will consist of LHB coaches including sleeper, AC and general class coaches, as per Railway Board instructions.
