NH-85 Four-Laning Project in Tamil Nadu: NHAI Seeks Consultants for DPR

New Delhi: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, has invited proposals from eligible consultants for the preparation of a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the four-laning of the TN/Kerala Border–Thondi section of National Highway-85 in Tamil Nadu.
According to the Notice Inviting Tender, the project covers a tentative length of 225 kilometres and will be awarded through an International Competitive Bidding (ICB) process.
The selected consultant will be responsible for preparing a comprehensive DPR for upgrading the existing highway stretch to a four-lane configuration, aimed at improving connectivity and traffic efficiency in the region.
The last date for online bid submission is April 27, 2026, by 11:00 AM, while the bids will be opened on April 28, 2026, at 11:30 AM.
NHAI stated that all proposals must be submitted in electronic mode through the e-tendering portal in accordance with the prescribed guidelines. DeshBharat
