New Delhi: In order to improve passenger convenience, the Railway Administration has decided to provide an experimental halt at Aligarh station for Train No. 12873/12874 Hatia – Anand Vihar Terminal Jharkhand Swarna Jayanti Express. The new stoppage will come into effect from March 13, 2026.

According to railway officials, the decision has been taken on a trial basis to benefit passengers travelling to and from Aligarh.

Details of the new stoppage

Train No. 12873 Hatia – Anand Vihar Terminal Jharkhand Swarna Jayanti Express
The train departing from Hatia on March 12, 2026 will arrive at Aligarh (ALJN) at 10:08 hrs and depart at 10:10 hrs. The stoppage at Aligarh will be effective from March 13, 2026.

Train No. 12874 Anand Vihar Terminal – Hatia Jharkhand Swarna Jayanti Express
The train leaving Anand Vihar Terminal on March 13, 2026 will stop at Aligarh from 22:23 hrs to 22:25 hrs. The halt at Aligarh station will also be effective from March 13, 2026.

Railway authorities said the stoppage is being introduced on an experimental basis and may be reviewed later depending on passenger response. DeshBharat
