North Western Railway Announces Special Trains for Pilgrims and Seasonal Travelers

Jaipur: To accommodate the increased passenger rush and facilitate travel for upcoming festivals and fairs, North Western Railway has announced the operation of five special weekly train services from late February through March 2026. These services will connect major hubs across Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Uttarakhand.
1. Hisar–Jaipur–Hisar Unreserved Special (Khatu Shyam Ji Mela)
In view of the Khatu Shyam Ji Mela, an unreserved special train (04721/04722) will operate four trips between February 25 and February 28, 2026.

Schedule: Train No. 04721 will depart Hisar at 05:50 and reach Jaipur at 13:00. The return service, Train No. 04722, will leave Jaipur at 14:50 and arrive in Hisar at 22:25.

Composition: The train will consist of 12 coaches, including 10 general-class and two guard coaches.

Key halts: Siwani, Sadulpur, Loharu, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, and Reengus.
2. Udaipur City–Yoganagari Rishikesh Weekly Special
Connecting the lake city of Udaipur to the spiritual hub of Rishikesh, this weekly service (09609/09610) will run for five trips.

Operation: It will depart Udaipur City every Tuesday (March 3 to March 31) at 13:45 and arrive in Rishikesh on Wednesday at 10:15. The return leg will leave Rishikesh every Wednesday (March 4 to April 1) at 17:55.

Composition: The 16-coach train will feature 2AC, 3AC, 3AC Economy, Sleeper, and General coaches.

Key halts: Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Ajmer, Jaipur, Alwar, Rewari, and Haridwar.
3. Jodhpur–Gorakhpur Weekly Special
This service (04829/04830) aims to provide better connectivity between western Rajasthan and eastern Uttar Pradesh.

Operation: It will complete four trips, departing Jodhpur every Thursday in March (March 5, 12, 19, and 26) at 16:15. The return leg will depart Gorakhpur every Friday (March 6, 13, 20, and 27) at 23:25.

Composition: A 20-coach rake including 2AC, 3AC, Sleeper, and General coaches.

Route: Major stops include Degana, Ratangarh, Rewari, Delhi, Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow, and Ayodhya Cantt.
4. Shri Ganganagar–Samastipur Weekly Special
Providing a direct link to Bihar, this weekly service (04731/04732) will operate five trips throughout March.

Operation: It will depart Shri Ganganagar every Sunday at 13:25 and return from Samastipur every Tuesday at 01:00.

Composition: A total of 20 coaches, including 11 Sleeper and four General-class coaches.

Route: Major halts include Hanumangarh, Rohtak, Delhi, Bareilly, Sitapur, Gorakhpur, Chhapra, and Muzaffarpur.
5. Shri Ganganagar–Gorakhpur Weekly Special
Another key service for commuters to Uttar Pradesh, this train (04729/04730) will run for five trips.

Operation: It will leave Shri Ganganagar every Thursday (February 26 to March 26) at 13:25 and depart Gorakhpur every Friday (February 27 to March 27) at 19:30.

Composition: The train will include 2AC, 3AC, Sleeper, and General coaches (20 in total).

Route: It will travel via Hanumangarh, Sirsa, Rohtak, Delhi, Moradabad, Bareilly, and Gonda.
